First Draw Lead Sampling Instructions
- Shut off faucet and tape off, or label to ensure faucet is not used for 6-10 hours.
- Do not flush the water line before the start of the 6 hour period.
- After the tap has sat unused for at least 6 hours, place the quart container under the faucet, turn the faucet on high, and fill the bottle completely with the 1st draw from the cold water faucet.
- Close the bottle tightly.
